On Tuesday, United States Vice President Mike Pence responded to WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange’s series of tweets. Pence denied Assange’s allegations that he is planning to take over the White House. Moreover, he characterized what he said as “absurd allegations”. He also stated that everything he said is very offensive for the entire administration.
Julian Assange accuses Pence
On Tuesday, the WikiLeaks founder posted numerous Twitter messages. In those, he claimed that some intelligence officials close to Pence were planning to take over the presidency. According to him, he knows about the entire discussion on this subject, but is not sure if Pence agrees with this plan or not. In another tweet, Assange said that he has information about Hillary Clinton saying earlier this month that she would love to see Mike Pence become president.
Clinton stated privately this month that she is quietly pushing for a Pence takeover. She stated that Pence is predictable hence defeatable.

However, after Julian Assange posted all those rather bizarre Twitter messages, the Vice President responded. He decided to talk during Laura Ingraham’s radio show. He said that he finds everything the WikiLeaks founder said to be “absurd” and “offensive”. Apart from that, he stated that to serve alongside Donald Trump, the 45th president of the United States, has been one of the greatest honors of his life. So, he would not even dare to think about something like this. Pence also talked about how passionate the president is and how he admires his leadership every day. He talked about the progress the entire administration has been making and learning with each step. Moreover, Pence said that he admires how much the president cares about the country and its people.
A bizarre situation
Interestingly enough, Julian Assange seems very convinced by the information he apparently has. Because of this, right after the Vice President ended his radio intervention, the WikiLeaks founder tweet other two messages. One even contained a link to Pence’s supposed answer to this whole situation. According to Assange, all those officials are planning to get rid of Trump through impeachment.

It should be noted that both the officials close to Pence and Hillary Clinton spoke of moving towards an ‘impeachment’ not other action.

This current situation is interesting because Julian Assange’s WikiLeaks actually made public all the emails belonging to Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman John Podesta. Many believed those to have been one of the main causes for which Clinton lost the presidential election. All in all, it remains to be seen what the Trump administration’s reaction is going to be after those messages from Assange, who is still living inside the London Ecuadorian Embassy.
