Asus takes great pride in ZenBook 3, calling it “world’s most prestigious laptop”. The release date has yet to be published, but we know it’s set sometime in the third quarter of the year. The specification list and features, however, are not secret. They are quite impressive, and here are a few details that should turn you into an Asus fan.

The ZenBook 3 is 11.9mm thin and weighs 910g. It uses a thin bezel display of 12.5-inch at 1920×1080 resolution. The design is flawless, using aerospace grade aluminium similar to Apple’s MacBook. On the inside, it features a full Corei7-6500U and 16GB of LPDDR3-2133 memory. The 2133 MT/s memory means it would be an ideal laptop for all the gamers out there.

The laptop has a sole USB 3.0 Type-C port, 40 Wh battery, fingerprint login through the touchpad, Corning Gorilla Glass 4 display, harmon/kardon audio, and many other little treats.

When it comes to the price, you’ll have to pay for the quality. We’re talking about a premium class product, and this stylish alternative to other Asus products will be more expensive. Asus revealed three models for the ZenBook 3:

  • Intel Core i5-6200U, 256GB SSD, 4GB LPDDR3-1866 – $999
  • Intel Core i7-6500U, 512GB PCIe SSD, 16GB LPDDR3-2133 – $1499
  • Intel Core i7-6500U, 1TB PCIe SSD, 16GB LPDDR3-2133 – $1999

As for Asus Transformer 3 Pro, it is cheaper, coming at a retail price of $799. Crafted from an aluminium-magnesium alloy, the body comes in grey and gold, and you get to choose the keyboard color as well (four colors are available). It features a 12.6-inch 3K display, which guarantees bright, vivid colors.

The Transformer 3 Pro runs a sixth-generation Intel Core processor with up to 16 Gb of RAM and 1TB of PCIe internal flash. Asus assures you get up to 8 hours from the built-in battery, and a quick charge thanks to the USB Type-C port. Also of interest for gamers, the Transformer 3 Pro makes it easy to connect to Asus ROG XG Station 2. The XG Station will boost the laptop’s graphics processing power, ensuring you get the most out of it.
